About Michigan Venue Guide

Michigan Venue Guide helps couples find and compare wedding and event venues across Michigan, from Detroit ballrooms and Grand Rapids lofts to barns in the Thumb and vineyards in Leelanau County.

Why we built it

Planning a Michigan wedding usually means a dozen browser tabs: venue websites, review sites and social media pages, each with different details and few with a straight answer on capacity or setting. We built Michigan Venue Guide to put the basics side by side, so you can shortlist venues by region, guest count, venue type and indoor or outdoor setting, then contact the ones that fit.

What's here

The guide lists 188 venues across 11 regions of the Lower Peninsula, with new venues added regularly. Every listing has its own page with the venue's capacity where known, setting, amenities and a map. You can browse by area, filter the full list, see everything on themap, or read our planning guides.

Where listing information comes from

We research each venue from its own website and public sources such as local tourism bureaus, and write every listing ourselves. Venues can claim their listing to confirm details, add photos and receive inquiries directly. Details change, so always confirm pricing, capacity and availability with the venue before booking.

Photos are either provided by venues or freely licensed images credited on our photo creditspage. We never use a venue's photos without permission.

How the site is funded

Michigan Venue Guide is free for couples. It's supported by optional paid listings for venues, which get top placement and inquiries sent straight to them, and by advertising on some pages. Paid placement is always labeledFeatured or Spotlight, and it never changes the facts on a listing.
